Tournament Medals

oh this would be very elite..
seen as a community how many % even has 1 tournament-win? how many % have more than 5? more than 10?
100? seems high.. but then again might add more players to tournaments and in that case im all for it..

There are 1320 with 1 win and about 65 with 10+. Currently there are over 20,000 people on the scoreboard

Medals and tournaments have always had somewhat of a love hate relationship and there are two sides to the issue. When giving out medals we're talking about people who have actually gone through and completed the tournament and there isn't any issue with them IMO although there are some who complain about the lack of originality with the 16 player 1v1 bracket tournaments however, lets be honest, those are popular for a reason.

The larger problem, that I see, is the people who start tournaments and don't bother to finish them. There are certainly serial deadbeat TOs such as caymanmew, or sensfan who start little crap tournaments that they can't even be bothered to finish up. That kind of thing irks me far more than anything else. If we didn't have to deal with his kind of crap I'd wholeheartedly approve any medal for anything but the little pissants ruin it for everyone.

I like the idea Jricart, but, I would lower the limit.

BRONZE TROPHY:
From 1 to 49 tournament wins.



SILVER TROPHY:
From 50 to 99 tournament wins.

Right now HighlanderAttack and Blitzaholic are the players who will have this one on their profile.


GOLD TROPHY:
From 100+ to unlimited tournament wins.


This may be better in suggestions forum, but, it is a geat idea.

I also would suggest the same for ORGANIZING Tourney's

1-49 bronze
50-99 silver
100+ gold

are you suggesting your 30 medals for tournament wins should be swapped for a max of 3 (a bronze, silver & gold)

and your 30 medals for tournaments run should also be swapped for a max of 3 (a bronze, silver & gold)
