I know it would be uber cool to use real mob names, but you could remodel the names to they sound like mobster names, then find some no copyrigth pitures of some bad looking mob alike guys, that would work real sweet 8-)

Even then, most of those pics will belong to someone. The best bet is taking some artistic license and drawing them by pencil or some thing.... because strangely... this allows a person to escape copyright law.

Yeah - can easily be done - make them generic mobsters from your own fictional mob world. ;)

Mmhm, that could work. You can easily use the photos you have now for inspiration for some nice mugshots.

Good concept. I'm not a big fan of maps like this (prohibition chicago). Still it's interesting.. I'd like to see maybe a few more tricks or specials to gameplay? Maybe a win objective or some more impassables/bombards just to make it a little more crazy. Other then that, please continue! It looks good!

The above means you are going to redraw it or that you're asking to bin it?
For now I change it back to standard, no point to have a sticky topic for now...

Let me know,
thanks

My position is that danfrank is obviously correct - mugshots are not protected by copyright.

But it seems he and I are the only ones who believe that, so I feel I have no choice. I'm not a caricaturist. This map lives or dies with those photos. Kill it. (Bin it.)

They cannot be copyrighted. They remain the property of the police and can be reproduced on will. This is why you see them in so many newspapers of the time period as good photos where very hard to come by.

[Moved]

It would appear that development of this map has stalled. If the original mapmaker wants to continue with the map, then one of the Foundry Moderators will be able to help put the thread back into the Drafting Room, after an update has been made. ;-)
