Maybe this has already been done but have you sent a PM to whomever was organizing the event and asked for an explanation or attempted to resolve before calling them gutless worms? Was there any response?

Go PM the folks involved in this issue and go get your prize....what a stupid thing to even be talking about. This should be a non-issue by the looks of it.

I have spoken to the organiser and BigWham twice..... Was met with nonsense which is why I am exposing them here. The talk about money and G7 is completely irrelevant. I will initiate a new and clearer post as this seems to have gone off into something else.

This is further to my last post and hope that some clarity is achieved:

I reached the semi-final stage of the 1vs1 championship tourney with 3 other players - I was a premium player at this point. The prize for semi-finalists is 2000 credits. The scoreboard clearly showed this.
Halfway thru the semi's my premium membership expired and commitments away from CC would take up most of my time therefore buying premium was not justified. I have apologised to other tourney organisers I was playing in as obviously I was unable to continue.
Re: the forementioned tourney I finished in the losing semi-finalist position therefore a prize of 2000 credits was appropriate, clearly.
I noticed that when the prizes were given out I was missed out - no notification of this also which is unusual. I looked at the tourney final standings and the scoreboard had been scrambled !!!!
I spoke to the organiser and BigWham who offered no good reason for this but maintained the prize was forfeit because I didn't finish the semi's as a premium member.
I believe this to be an act of cheating by people who should know better and relay my disgust at betrayal of gentlemanly conduct.
I hope this is clear and any responses welcome so long as it's about this issue not the many other issues that are wrong in the world today.

again, you entered a tournament knowing you needed to be premium to join/play the games. you let it lapse, you yourself stated that. so, you no longer could join games or participate. sounds like a personal problem, not a CC problem. now, you have come into the forums starting a flame thread in the GD, this thread, A SUGGESTION THREAD THAT WAS REMOVED (bet you forgot about that one, didn't you?), and you are somehow still in the forums subjecting us all to your childish melt down... it is pathetic... let's see which rules you have broken so far:

While I would've preferred he state his case without the flames, he clearly deserves the semi-final prize, imo. I see no rules stating a lapse in premium membership would result in a drop in standing or a forfeiture of any prizes that would have otherwise been awarded had the player remained a premium member. As a freemium, he shouldn't have been able to advance to the finals had he won his semi-final match... but his new freemium status shouldn't negate his accomplishment or the prizes associated with that accomplishment. GC was a semi-finalist in good standing and prizes for semi-finalists include 2000 credits and a Bronze Champion Trophy.... there are no caveats in the rules as I read them that would exclude him from these prizes.

I think the prize should be awarded regardless but another consideration is many of these Championship tourneys experienced significant delays beyond just waiting for games to finish. I don't recall how big of a factor that was for the 1v1 tourney but I suspect, had these delays not occurred, the tourney may have been completed before GC's premium expired.

I If I were in general cod's position, I'd feel cheated too... but I'd also not resort to the bashing of TOs striving to make CC more enjoyable for all. He has a right to be upset but the flames are excessive.

listen. i stand by team CC and their decisions. if he does not like he, he is able to fill out a support ticket and go through the channels to try and rectify the wrong he feels has been done to him. as of now, i have to support team CC, ownership and the site. i refuse to give into this mob mentality.-Jésus noir
