D1 you cant lynch scum as it is 5/15 chance or 33% or so...... but you can try to vote someone who is currently silent and get them to speak... but that either doesn't mean anything, because they will say they are VT or the bomb or some of the useless (and not provable) roles so you can't know.

I would go for an almost random lynch, or just start from the top of the draft till we get to a vanilla game.

Speaking of, all who said we should start from the bottom of the list, probably have PR's, an vanillas obviously want to start from the top... so I agree with starting in the middle.

Sorry I haven't been as active as some people would like, I had a busy weekend and been busy at work (deadlines coming up), and with all the games I have going on now with the conquer club olympics, my time has been pretty limited. Plus, I really don't have much important to add other than what I have said... no-one's done anything especially scummy yet really (other than those voting me on trumped up reasons of course lol). I think the only times I don't get accused of scummarizing in recent games on day 1 is when I'm actually scum and I make it more of a point to make up cases on people lol.

This game actually has a little better chance at catching scum on day 1 than most, since scum is in two teams so they are all actually scum hunting too, looking for the other team so they can look more towny. And they don't have 1/3 of the players not going to vote them for random reasons. Of course that can make it harder to actually catch them since they can act like town scum hunting too, since that's what they are actually doing.

Stop concerning yourselves with draft order. Stop concerning yourselves with outing power roles.
If you feel you got a scum read, push that. Even if it's against the nr 1 draft. If he ever gets to claiming, it's because majority feels he's scum. That's good enough reason.

Another thing, pushing someone to claim doesn't work this game. What you gonna do with the claimed information? No character names, and power roles completely independent from allignment. If someone claims doc, that means absolutely nothing.

Your second statement is mostly true as well,although scum may attempt to fakeclaim as roles like tailor are pretty inherently scummy(i would lynch anyone claiming tailor,wouldnt you?)

I have a hard time reading anyone as scum right now. I do have a couple town reads, which I previously posted.
Nope I don't agree. A medium high town draft could pick up tailor and do town a great favour. What I mean is, whatever you claim it means nothing. It's all about pushing reads and building cases.

Got a few hunches on a scum read I'm still working it out.

What if I told you, there was a game where the last draft got inventor (best single role ever made for mafia game). In that same game, 3 of top 5 draft were vanilla because they all chose the same power.

My main scum read until now would be benga. A few posts with no content. Generic comment about how he will know more after N1. Obviously not interested in scumhunting.
Main point I have on him is his vote on dazza:

The chance that mafia is bottom is likely as it's in the top. Only sure thing is we are kill vanillas going from bottom.

For now I will vote dazza2008 to get something more out of him.

Zero follow up on his vote, not calling out dazza at all after this, he couldn't care less if dazza actually posted something or not. Obviously trying to look active, not doing anything.

Firstly, I was on my phone when I confirmed. Your "theory" of my being skum is based on me posting twice. Second post was a joke vote would show that I voted sausage because he voted streaker than unvoted streaker. Making a mountain out of a mole hole like someone already pointed out.

Second, I believe your so hard after me because I got such good reads in my last game. This makes me a strong player. Gotta focus on someone when your scum and thats what your doing. Point, point, point and hope someone else gets lynched. Well if I get lynched or killed during day 1 or night 1 my fellow townies you need to lynch Wing day 2 because he is definitely mafia. Yes Im calling you out Wing. My scum meter is higher on Tim. Your defending of Tim is reminiscent of last game where Dakky defended Tim. So I personally think Tim is scum and Im sticking to my guns on this one. Not changing it. His post was very scummy and on top of that it took him a day to respond to mine and dakkys accusation. As before when he was mafia he didnt out right defend himself. Just said he was "busy" with work. Well I work 6 days a week and 12 hours a day and still have the time to make posts.

I'd strongly object to a Virus lynch. Nothing in his opening post suggests scum, and his inactivity isnt abnormal.

Activity isnt a clear indicator of alignment, it is a tool used by those who are active to deflect the focus onto others. Ptlowe and Tim are the major pushers of this logic.

Has anyone played with him before? Some people just get really flustered when they get accused, so it's not necessarily alignment-indicative. But your point is well taken.

Do you mean that you'd strongly object to a Virus lynch in general, or strongly object based on the currently available evidence? What if we pushed him and some useful information came out of it?

I'm not getting a scum vibe on Tim despite WCG's attempt to make him look like the bad guy. WCG's push on Tim reminds me of Aage in Foundation mafia (which is the only game I've played with Tim). Tim is a little bit all over the place to be sure, but it seems more like someone trying to get the conversation going rather than a scumbag trying to get anyone lynched.

What do you guys think about AoG? Take a look at his posts--it won't take long. He's one of the people that stuck out the most to me when I was reviewing quieter players' posts.

Also, I'm going to throw a no lynch out there in case we can't agree on some pressures. Normally, I don't like a no lynch on D1 because 1) lynches/pressures give us information and 2) a lynch is the town's only known weapon for combating scum. However, in this game, we know there are 3 killing factions + a possible town vig. So, there's a better chance the town has a NK of its own and an even better chance that the bad guys are going to be hitting each other at night. So, it's not like we're sitting ducks waiting to get picked off if we don't use our lynch. Something to ponder--I wouldn't resort to it until the end of the day if we really can't get anything going though.

not that it's likely, but I could see a scenario where a claimed role could help...if someone counter claims. Since we know there's just one type of each role, we know one of them is lying. Of course, this could end up as a mislynch and at best we lynch scum and the role is claimed, but at least we got rid of a mafia member.

not at all. Like I said previously, role and alignment have NO bearing on each other. A town member could've picked up the Tailor role to make sure scum didn't get it. I don't think that's out of the question.

Your analysis and interpretation is like that of a wandering goat. Since your reads and ideas arent sticking on me you start putting me in with Tim and dismissing actual analysis. The more I read of your words the more I think your scum. Trying every which way to find another target to harp on outside of yourself. Your slinging mud to get anything to stick.
