If the games are somehow totally Anonymous why is Premium still needed ... if a separate system has been developed to play without using our Real Details ... why not have it also include waiving this restriction as well?IcePack wrote:Correct, right now still poly gamesSiriusCowKing wrote:Is this still premium only? Well it’s not a separate system, it just hides the players names.ElricTheGreat wrote:If the games are somehow totally Anonymous why is Premium still needed ... if a separate system has been developed to play without using our Real Details ... why not have it also include waiving this restriction as well?IcePack wrote:Correct, right now still poly gamesSiriusCowKing wrote:Is this still premium only? Well, they are similar. Both provide you income in the same manner etc, but they are different in several ways. As you said, one of the ways is that someone will for sure own a Homeworld vs a NPC world only being owned if someone else claimed it first.ElricTheGreat wrote:Why do you keep mentioning Homeworld & NPC World as different? Are they not the same with the exception that an NPC starts with no Owner?
Or are they truly different? If yes - visibly different as well?

As the gaming system is Turn Based - only the 1st ship to enter the Hex would take damage?IcePack wrote:mines have no limits to # per ship. They are tied to that ship and just get “placed” as your ship travels during your turn submission. One purchase is one minefield, which does 1d4 damage to a starship that lands on that hex in the future (one time use). It’s a costly resource drain but can be effective in some scenarios without risking ur fleet in battle

I’ll double check the wording, I believe it affects any ship in that hex.ElricTheGreat wrote:As the gaming system is Turn Based - only the 1st ship to enter the Hex would take damage?IcePack wrote:mines have no limits to # per ship. Does it only Detonate and the END of the TURN CYCLE?IcePack wrote:I’ll double check the wording, I believe it affects any ship in that hex.ElricTheGreat wrote:As the gaming system is Turn Based - only the 1st ship to enter the Hex would take damage?IcePack wrote:mines have no limits to # per ship. It resolves at the end of the turn of the player whom landed on it.ElricTheGreat wrote:Does it only Detonate and the END of the TURN CYCLE?IcePack wrote:I’ll double check the wording, I believe it affects any ship in that hex.ElricTheGreat wrote:As the gaming system is Turn Based - only the 1st ship to enter the Hex would take damage?IcePack wrote:mines have no limits to # per ship. Can a detonation trigger other mines to explode as well? Maybe those currently still attached to a ship?

Got a few more no’s replied.
We have 3 more who said they are signing up.
Of those 3, 2 have been in active communication.
So I would say very promising 13, maybe 14.
Above that would be a (welcome) surprise.
I am communicating with a few more as well now so we will see.

This would be appreciated... I am more a play and learn kind of guy... I tried my best to read all that and understand it all but I just can't grasp a lot of the more detailed information by just reading it...IcePack wrote:I know it may seem overwhelming but again, it looks worse than it really is.
I might make a tutorial or quick YouTube video later in the month to walk everyone through the process.

I did a lame attempt, but its really hard to make a video that will be worth while. I might try again here soon but yeah, the easiest thing is to play it and pick it up.grifftron wrote:This would be appreciated... I am more a play and learn kind of guy... It is pretty basic / straight forward, it has four buttons. "move" "buy" and "close" as well as submit / unsubmit turn.TX AG 90 wrote:Will there be a How To tutorial on the Meta Map?

Click buy, and will allow you to add things to the map. It will show different icons available for purchase. You click that, and a box appears to name that item.
You then select the hex you want it deployed (it will narrow down whats allowed for each unit with a yellow hex). You click that, and it will add that purchase
in the upper left of the map with a "x" next to it if you want to cancel that purchase.
If you click move, any starships can be selected and yellow hexes will appear equal to your movement allowance. click the hex you want to move to.
It will then add that movement in the upper left with a "x" incase you change your mind or want to move somewhere else.
Do that for all starships.
Close is to close out the move / buy thing and icons etc. Submit at the end of all your moves and I will receive them on my end for review.
I will definitely be contacting and assisting in the beginning to make sure everyone knows whats going on, and if we can get this thing up and running before the 21st 100%, then I will open it up to a play period / sandbox type thing you guys can mess around with. But it should be basic enough that its fairly understandable whats expected.
For tutorial, it depends on my time. Right now I'm focusing on the map building and testing of the program and trafalaxy map.
