Make Automated Snapshots Automated, as they should be
Concise description:
If a player has selected Automated Snapshots from Panel Interface, he should get snapshot when the game is created, that first snap will be automatically created for him.
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
No fog of war rule, no 12h delays in first turn, no misunderstandings, no problems, no squabble and happier customers.

for me the panel has no positive function, it fucked the game/design especially in mobile, with this at least same parts of it will have functional purposes... later we can suggest more to make the panel functional addon.
I'm not seeing why this hasnt been implemented yet. If the game automatically takes a snapshot at the end of your turn, what makes it so complex to have a base snapshot for all to reference?
What if the game kept an opening image on file that could be accessed in one of the Overview tabs that keeps up with all the game stats.
Yeah i suggested this last year i believe to the "guaranteed implementation" thing.
Its super obvious how helpful this would be but apparently its too much of a coding issue.
Dont get your hopes up.

Get your partners to use panels

I'm pretty sure this is similar / the same to something Foxglove proposed that was deemed technically improbable / difficult to accomplish
I wouldn't know the logistics of it, doesn't seem like it would be too hard but I really don't know how it is put together under the hood. Not the end of the world if it's too hard, but if it can be done relatively painlessly, this would be a pretty good upgrade. There are times, especially in large games that a lot of the board can adjust just by your first turn.
I wasn't able to find anywhere in that thread where they claimed it couldn't be done. Just that in BOB it's complicated because you can't access individual game data without having the games open. That particular stumbling block wouldn't exist if coded into the site.
Still might complicated to do, but it's not really the same issue as it would be with the BOB script since it can be done server side.

I've found "impossible" is a label developers like to tag on to something when they're not in the mood to exert themselves. Where there's a will, there's a way.

But I didn't say impossible, I said technically improbable or difficult.
Meaning, it's possible but if you gotta redo the entire engine to change the spark plug, and the spark plug works....is it worth the effort when you could be fixing the fuel line (or some other relatable car analogy that makes sense since I'm not a car guy)
