I would respectfully suggest that you stop taking whatever it is that makes you write this way, because it seems to be giving you hallucinations. Maybe you saw someone in fancy dress, maybe you saw an usual bear or wolf. Would a creature you describe venture anywhere near urban Detroit?
Since now pretty much everyone has a camera on them at all times, there's no reason not to have pictures of these things (although of course they're easily faked now).
There's also more than one tv show (I imagine each channel has their own) where people debunk myths about aliens and monsters - on Fact or Faked, they showed that the Muck Monster was a dugong; remember that the mermaid myth has been ascribed to delirious (and probably horny) sailors seeing dugongs or manatees and claiming them to be half-female.
