somehow i doubt he was that happy. he made a choice, of sorts -though it must ahve been opainful0to repress his sexuality-and now he is just being honest with himself. ok, but the ones i know about match these stereotypes. as i said i have nothing against the fact they have relations with other men, more i this effeminate nature they have what repulses me and i dislike very much. i wasn't pre-judgemental, i though i was ok with this kind of behavior when heard about it on tv - cause everyone can live their life like they like. but when i actually encountered some of these people i simply didn't feel good in their company, and just want to avoid any not-needed contacts with them. i'm not the guy who'll throw stick and stones on them, i'm strongly against public persecution of gay people but still i personally don't like them.nagerous wrote:Simonov, I think your stereotyping homosexuals here. qft, my view exactly.EvilPurpleMonkey wrote:However, I do have a problem with those really effeminate and flamboyant ones. They disgust me , walking down the streets dressed like a fruit bowl, constantly going shopping, speaking with there lisps. Oh, I despise those ones, the kind you see on those shows like queer eye. And the huge ones with bulging on steroids are creepy. But other than that, they're alright people.

it's not in man's nature to enjoy shopping. you go to store, buy and exit. you don't spend hours looking for clothes when you can spend that time sleeping or chugging beer.Guiscard wrote:The swines!EvilPurpleMonkey wrote:constantly going shopping,.

I think its just being unfamiliar. You're naturally uncomfortable with things you aren't familiar with, things you haven't experienced. The first time I came across a fairly effeminate man I was a little taken a back, and certainly felt outside of my comfort zone. Since then, however, I've moved in social circles with them and I feel perfectly comfortable. No different to how I'd treat anyone else. It seems somehow against nature for a man to be extremely effeminate, and I think that makes it more disconcerting, but once you spend some time getting to know someone like that it would probably be fine. I mean, I still find a few more outrageous characters annoying, but that isn't sexuality. I tend to dislike anyone who is so overly loud and in your face. I've taken against straight men for the same reason. I think its perfectly fine for you to dislike characteristics exhibited by gay men as long a you don't associate it with their sexuality too much. You'll get used to it. Imagine if you had a brother who was like that... you'd have to.... so you obviously could.Simonov wrote:ok, but the ones i know about match these stereotypes. as i said i have nothing against the fact they have relations with other men, more i this effeminate nature they have what repulses me and i dislike very much. i wasn't pre-judgemental, i though i was ok with this kind of behavior when heard about it on tv - cause everyone can live their life like they like. but when i actually encountered some of these people i simply didn't feel good in their company, and just want to avoid any not-needed contacts with them. i'm not the guy who'll throw stick and stones on them, i'm strongly against public persecution of gay people but still i personally don't like them.nagerous wrote:Simonov, I think your stereotyping homosexuals here. I quite enjoy shopping. Spending money is always good, be it on clothes, trainers or completely un-needed items of musical equipment or art supplies.Simonov wrote:it's not in man's nature to enjoy shopping. you go to store, buy and exit. you don't spend hours looking for clothes when you can spend that time sleeping or chugging beer.Guiscard wrote:The swines!EvilPurpleMonkey wrote:constantly going shopping,.

Key part of that whole post. The ones that you know about. I'm sure there are plenty of gay people around you that talk and act just like you do in public. You can't make blanket statements like that. It's most likely that you don't like flamboyant people (village people style) rather than just gays in general. BIG difference. You're not a homophobe if you don't like that, your a homophobe if you don't like people who have sex with other people of their same gender.Simonov wrote:ok, but the ones i know about match these stereotypes.

Honestly, there's no way to "be positive" if somebody is gay or not. Even if you've seen all your friends having vigorous sex with beautiful women (don't know how they roll in WY, maybe you're into the kinky stuff) it's possible they could be deeply closeted men ashamed of their sexuality. Or bisexual, for that matter. And even if there was some sort of ironclad test to see if somebody is gay, it wouldn't be necessary for much of anything, seeing as how it's really none of your business if your a straight male.muy_thaiguy wrote:I'm positive.unriggable wrote:You sure?
