If I do that the rods will end up in the balls and the balls are to hold the numbers. It will not work.

Try to fit in all the balls and rods in this one...
Actually I would welcome anyone that has a 3D program to make a better more understandable truer 3D copy of the HyperCUBE!

i suggest making the rods fade from the color of one of the circles they connect to the color of the other circle it connects, might help make connections clearer

Anyone else agree? I think it just will make the rods look dirty.

As requested:

i looked at your hyper cube and i really like the idea, its just one small graphics error that has been ticking me off. if you could please fix it it would make my brain happy.

line J2-K2 overlaps G1-G2 and it should be the other way.

Not true, you could easily convey the connection within the shadow borders on the circles. Pleanty of room left to show the numbers.

I think this is a pretty cool idea. I voted for both.

The CUBE is nice and simple to understand, but pretty small. Some people like small maps. I'm not one of them but I can see why CUBE has an appeal - it's simpler.

CUBEOID is pretty awesome. Nicely sized and with all the complexity I think the map can handle. Going to a Hypercube is just.... too much.

I agree. Those two are my favourites as well, but I think all three have potential. It is like 3 levels of complexity. One for each taste :D
And where The CUBE is more for 2-4 players HyperCUBE is more for 4-6 players. The CUBOID fits all kinds I think.

Does anyone know how I can change or end or edit the poll if I had it set to "forever"? Or is it impossible? I would like to include HyperCUBE as one option.

You'll have to PM a mod to have it removed, then you can start over.

stuff

Post by Piestar »

Okay, forgive my primitive resources, but hopefully this will explain my thoughts...

http://piestar.tripod.com/BoardroomwarS/index.html

Ignor the top two maps, but at the bottom, you will see two squares clipped from your hypercube. The number with the 12 in it has my crude attempt to show you what I mean. If you look close, you will see the top, right and front rods have been extended 2-3 pixels into the image, giving a connected feel.

Does that make any sense?

Do you want to see The CUBE or The CUBOID finalized?
  • The CUBE - 41% - [ 7 ]
  • The CUBOID - 5% - [ 1 ]
  • Both! - 52% - [ 9 ]

This looks very interesting (and symmetrical, yet not symmetrical?)

You need to increase the size of your army circles.

Right now everything fits nicely - but you are testing with 18 (as your largest number width wise) and you need to test with 88

I haven't looked at anything but this latest version, so if someone else has already mentioned that ...
