Do you know what the wierdest thing about Santa is? It's the fact that the name "Santa" has the same exact letters as the name "Satan".

Since Santa is a name associated with Christmas, I think it's a deliberate slap in the face of God and Jesus Christ.

And the Dutch variant is Sinterklaas, which is still Saint Nicholas.

So the name Santa Claus comes from phonetic variances of the name Saint Nicholas.
