All wrong: Michangelo was painting a scene of the Last Judgement, a vision or view of Teachings of Religious significance, of something to invoke FEAR in those gazing on the painting, in an attempt to keep them "in line" via fear of eternal damnation, with fierce creatures of an active imagination and an artistic creativity. Exactly what were the inspirations for his visions and ideas? Who knows. I doubt that he actually saw

that were indeed NOT what we may call Bigfoot creatures. They were NOT large or HUGE creatures.

There may have been poor people who lived desperate lives in the Woods who were unkempt (hairy, no haircut or baths) and desperate for food and "creature comforts" of a bed and house and such. Be REAL, they are SIMPLY NOT Bigfoot.

And just because an image in a painting is LARGE does not mean that that is indeed a Bigfoot creature or a giant or any other such mythical creature.

And despite what ConfedSS inteprets that Duk supported his CRAZY ideas, here is what Duk actually said, and Duk casts doubt on the entire idea of a Bigfoot or Sasquatch in this painting.

I'm not techie enough to zoom in, but from what I can read online, it seems the creatures in the cave behind Christ have been called sasquatches by some commentators. Others say they are demons waiting and hoping to take souls to Hell if Christ fails to redeem them. Given the religious nature of the painting, I think the latter explanation is more likely.

1) refute his false statements;

2) show his obvious errors;

3) SHOW that he did NOT offer any real refutation of what I posted;

4) Show that I did refute much of what he posted;

5) demonstrate that he misread what Duk said (hoping that Duk actually supported his crazy allegation, which Duk did NOT);

6) demonstrate cogently that ConfedSs cannot admit to his errors: Large, small, grammatical, historical, or otherwise.

Here is another thread that can be summarized as a "conspiracy theory" (that may or may not be "paranoid" in origin).

I don't think Bigfoot qualifies as a "Conspiracy" theory. What is being conspired? Nothing.

It's simply a theory that there are large, hairy, not-quite human beings living in the forest.

• Could they be grizzly bears? Bears do sometimes walk upright, they are big and hairy and from a distance could be considered somewhat humanoid.
• Could they be human hermits, unshaven and roughly dressed in animal hides, living in the forest? There have always been humans outcast by society who go to live alone in the forest, and without the benefit of barbers or clothiers they often develop a very rough, animal-like appearance.
• Could they be survivors of a homonid species other than Homo sapiens? That seems less likely to me, but not impossible. We know there were many humanoid species like neanderthalis and rhodensiensis that were actively killed by sapiens. Would it be completely outside the realm of possibility that some members of these other hominid learned to hide real well and survive into the modern age. Again, seems unlikely, but not completely impossible.

Whether any of the above are true or not, I cannot say. But I don't see how any of these qualify as "conspiracies."

Very simple, Duk: many people who believe:

Aliens are real (with little proof);

that the world is flat;

that the Apollo moon missions were Hollywood fakes (filmed on a Hollywood back lot);

and that JFK was killed by the CIA and this was hidden by a VAST Government CONSPIRACY;
